Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa Memorial Service
Who passed away on 8th December 2019 at the age of 88 Years
CONDOLENCE FROM DR. PHILIP C KWOK - CHAIRMAN OF YUDANSHA-KAI
On behalf of the members of the SKIF Yudansha Kai and many SKIF karatekas all over the World I would like to express the profound sadness that all of us felt at the loss of our beloved Soke Kanazawa who was truly a karate-do legend of all times.
And all the more that we cannot, because of the pandemic, be present at this Memorial Service for Soke to pay our last respects and to express condolences to his family and close friends.
But at the same time I believe that Soke Kanazawa is still very much alive in our hearts. I am sure many of us still retain vividly in our memory many treasured moments we spent with Soke, in taking classes under him, learning about the deep meaning of karate-do from him and in joyous social gatherings.
While we are saddened by the passing of Soke Kanazawa we are very happy to see that his legacy is faithfully and successfully continued by Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa and Shuseki Shihan Manabu Murakami and the dedicated Honbu Instructors.
Oss, Philip
